It's been raining here in kothri, and I honestly don't think weekends can get much better than this. A hot cup of coffee, the rain outside, perfect. I was also watching what is happening with the cjp protest currently. Makes me think now, India should get a coffee wala, chai wala had his time.

WE learn a lot more by trying to do something than by just reading about it. generally we know this inside, but the realisation hits hard when you start following this.

it's a small static analysis tool that takes pretty much any type of file, extracts whatever it can, without executing it, and looks for things that might deserve a second look like hashes, metadata, entropy, suspicious strings, and a few heuristics. one major problem occured after deploying, it was showing files uploaded by any user to other users publicly. full on privacy disaster, used session cookies to fix that, thanks to gpt[rip claude].

In order to improve, you first have to understand what's wrong with you. Only then can you start working on it. I rarely get motivated by people, but recently I came across Brad Fitzpatrick, and he genuinely inspired me. Looking at what he's built and achieved makes me want to build more, learn more, and constantly improve my own work. So I'm starting a new series. I'll be building tools completely from scratch, taking the time to understand the underlying concepts and principles behind each one instead of just making them work. My motive isn't to collect projects, it's to become a better engineer. I've put together a [not-so] curated list of tools I want to build, and I'm planning to work through them one by one. I'll probably write about the process and what I learn here as well.

It makes me feel good. also one of my motives was to bring back old days of blogging. People used to make their own simple, plain sites, and then they used to post blogs on them. It was a nice thing, and i kind of wanted to be a part of it, well i born too late for that, but i think time is just an illusion, so here iam, making a blog. I wonder how many people will read this, if anybody.
